I have had a Clapton Mid Boost Kit in my Strat for a long time. I have the battery squeezed in under the pickguard. Someone on the forum here mentioned that they kept their battery in the tremolo cavity. Has anyone put their battery in the spring location too? After putting your battery within the spring area, did you encounter any new noise problems?

I originally had an after market boost kit im my '91 MiM Standard and had the battery mounted in the spring cavity between the strings (trem was blocked anyway.
I found that the battery stood proud of the cavity by @2mm and the cover would not fit properly so I had a shim made to raise the back plate. There were no issues with extra noise. Ultimately I got the Fender Mid-Boost kit and had the body properly routed same as the Clapton model for £40 (@$60) I found that after shielding everything it all fitted together beautifully and is whisper quiet, best mod I have done.
