hi, i just received a set of red, silver, blue lace sensor pick ups.

opening the case i noticed they're way different from the red Fender Lace Sensor that i already have.

first they have 3 wires each instead of the only 2 from the fender lace.
there are 2 grounds and one hot.

then they don't have that little metal bridge on the back of it.

why are so different on the tech design?

last... what if you snap the hot wire? is it possible to repair the pick up? i see it ends on the very inside of the pick up, almost impossible to fix again in case of damaging.

thanx

Please don't take this sarcastically but your best bet would be going to the source and asking these questions:

+1

Sound advice.

I e-mailed Lace with a wiring query and received a more than satisfactory reply the same day. Job done!

Andy

I am going to order the same set of Lace ..Red, Silver & Blue. Any assistance that you can give me...I would appreciate. I'm sure that these pickups follow the same rules of installation that any pup follow. It would be helpful if you would tell me which two colors of conductor are ground. Thank You. P. Dyckman.

Yes orange wire to the switch / white and green tied together and soldered over the pot to ground.

Repeat for all the 3 pups.

Lace sensor service is great, they reply you with care and very fast too ;)

let me know how do you feel and set yours on your guitar when you finished, please. ;)

I feel the blue on the neck a little dark compared the silver on the middle.
Maybe because it's very hot, similar the red on the bridge.
