Hi all! I'm thinking of replacing my Texas Specials on my Roadhouse and replacing them with Vintage Noiseless. Do I need to worry about POTs or active electronics on the Vintage Noiseless? Is there much of a difference between Vintage Noiseless and SCN Noiseless????

Sounds like I'm taking a chance with noiseless... I wonder how road worthy they are!

The Vintage Noiseless are VERY sterile sounding pickups. The SCNs are essentially, Bill Lawrence pickups - VERY late 60s sounding.

You are going to have a, "culture shock" by switching from the Texas Specials to either of the other two Noiseless models. Either of the Noiseless are noticeably lower in output than the Texas Specials, have marginal midrange, any kind of grit is right out and sustain shall be less.

Either of the two Noiseless models work best with all 250K audio pots; DO NOT use a treble retention circuit.
