Just curious on everyones opinion about the S. Duncan Lil' 59 P.U and the S. Duncan hot rails. Quality and Tone? Thanks, Dutch. :)

Surely the quality is there but to me, the tones are that of generic, full sized, humbuckers where in the case of the Hot Rails, one that pukes midrange.

As always, this is merely IMO where YMMV.

thanks Martian, I have an american deluxe on layaway with the S.D pick-ups. I love the feel of the guitar and thought it sounded good at the store, but won't really know until I take it home and gig with it. If I was infact, blind sided by my G.A.S pains, I can always put her back into stock form. She comes with the original P.U's and P.G. I like hearing other peoples opinions, as it helps me open my eyes and ears, to things I may have not noticed. Thanks, Dutch. :)

I'm not a fan of any of the SD pups.

I like the SD Twang Banger. Put it in the bridge position on a 2001 MIM Strat and it really does it for me...snarly, bright, in your face, piercing...yeah it sounds like a tele, but in a Strat.
Now if he'd only do something with his hair!?

I replaced a Lil 59 with a JB SH-4 and like the tone much better along with great sounding pinch harmonics. YMMV?

I've only ever tried one of his pickups and so far I like it. It is a SSl-5 in the bridge.
