Anyone know the specs or can describe what these new pups which supposedly will be on the new American Deluxe Series Strats are like?

Now we know what N3 means: 3 type of alnico magnets...II, III and V.

I rather doubt this as mixing different magnet strengths in any one pickup would be quite costly to Fender. Rather, it is more likely to mean Fender's 3rd Noiseless pickup design. (Note that the SCNs are a Bill Lawrence design.) By keeping the name as brief and ambiguous as, "N3", this adds to the mystique and flurry of brand spanking new infallible web dogma suppositions which will create a legend for them, making them out to be infinitely better than they are.

As I haven't had an opportunity to dissect one yet, this is merely IMO where YMMV.

each position is different. they are specifically designated for their particular position based upon the Alnico magnet within each, to accentuate each string position.

I presume that It alnico 2 in the neck, 3 in the middle and 5 in the bridge maybe?

Actually, so am I. I just hope that construction wise, they are a lot better than their two predecessors.

John,

Welcome!

Where are you drawing your information from?

"Using an improved stacked-coil design, N3 Noiseless pickups are specially tailored for each Stratocaster and Telecaster pickup position... The insulated metal core of each pickup position type differs in thickness and composition for enhanced tone, and Fender has fine-tuned the size, shape and wire gauge of the coils to balance the magnetic responsiveness essential to great tone.

"Further, N3 Noiseless pickups represent a welcome return to the warmth and clarity of alnico magnets. Again, the type of alnico magnets used is tailored to pickup position – Alnico V for the power and warmth of the Stratocaster N3 bridge pickup and the signature snap and spank of both Telecaster pickups; Alnico II for the sweetness and sparkle of the Stratocaster N3 middle pickup; Alnico III for the fullness of the Stratocaster N3 neck pickup without undue magnetic string pull."
