Hello....Im interested in buying a 86 fender strat plus (seafoam green) awesome condition. The bridge pickup is a lace sensor/gold scribe on the front. I believe original. The other two are regular single coil (neck and middle position)So, looking to match the bridge pick-up that exists in the guitar, I found two lace sensors with gold scribe from a private seller. (im told they are ten years old with aged off/white coloring. My question.......Will these two lace sensors automatically match the existing lace sensor in the guitar? Are all three pick-ups the same....but its the position that makes them sound different.....or are they in fact three distinctly different pick-ups due to their poles, or wiring...manufacturing etc....? So, thanks for your hellp, Curtis

Hello and Welcome!

The Lace Gold Sensor is one pickup suitable for all three positions. You can check by using the following link which also has wiring diagrams if you need them:

http://www.lacemusic.com/electric_picku ... _specs.php

To get an indication as to whether they'll all behave they same, test them with a multimeter or ohmmeter if they all give similair reading it should be fine.

I think you should be fine replacing the neck and middle pups. Though If it were me I'd buy a set Lace Hot Golds with the 13.2k bridge and use those. I've got a set in my Partscaster and I'm very happy with them. They're Great pups (IMO).

Hope this helps

Andy

Hello!

No worries! Gald i could help.

I think I'll leave this one to the resident pick up Guru..... "Martian are you there?"

If you don't get a reply, i'd recommend starting a new thread.
