Hello Everyone,
I've got a '99 American Delux Strat. I've had it since new. I love everything about the guitar except the tone. It doesn't have that glassy clear single coil tone that my '00 Tele has. I would like to keep it "noiseless" so I'm thinking of either Gold Lace Sensors or the newer Fender Noiseless ones. Any imput out there?

Welcome!

If you are zeroed in between the Gold Sensors and the Fender Noiseless, the Gold Sensors are leaps and bounds above the Fender Noiseless tonally and construction wise too.

Just food for thought: If you really want that glassy, clear single coil tone out of your Strat, I'd overwhelmingly recommend DiMarzio's Virtual Vintage Area 67 pickups above all else.

As always, this is merely IMO, YMMV.

Hey, thanks a lot. I hadn't considered the DiMarzios. Are they noiseless? I'm starting that everything has some compromises. ie, no hum, but loss of top end. I'm going to look into the DiMarzios. I've got a MIA Tele Std and it's not bad in the hum catagory. I use a Peavy Delta Blues 115 and the tele doesn't hum that much at all. Also I use a GuitarPort on my PC going into an Onkyo amp and Infinity speakers It has a hum reduction feature that really works. No hum at all. Once again, thanks for the imput

Glad to help.

Yes, they are noiseless. And no, there's plenty of top end with the Area 67 pickups, I think you'd be very satisfied with them.
