Anyone heard of the Fender Santa Ana Pup's?

Do they sound good?
Wht guitars do they put them in aside from the Cylone HH?

I have tried for almost a year to get the specs on these pickups - even asking Fender customer service twice. No luck.

Pickups which you can't readily find information on are usually contracted by a guitar manufacturer to be made by an Asian factory where there are only a handful of requirements. Chief among them are: Dimensions, colors, DC resistance, wire gauge and magnet type. Within these requirements come widely varying grades of the quality of the components and widely varying tolerances of these and of course, the finished product(s) as well where guaranteed, they would never measure up to any specific American counterpart or design standards. Further, it is not unusual for said contractor to do runs of pickups where they will be shipped to several unrelated manufacturers for installation in their lines of imported guitars. Naturally, these pickups could never have any unique identifying factors for these reasons and it goes without saying that whomever the manufacturer is that you bought the guitar from isn't going to be too quick to investigate let alone disseminate, said pickups' particulars. Or, to put it another way, you received your answer by not being able to get one.

Congrats on the Cyclone and may you enjoy it for many years to come!

I might have given the impression that aside from inferior and varying quality and tolerances that these Asian imports are also of inferior tone. This is NOT true in MANY cases. The right combination can and does yield many interesting and yes, desirable tonal qualities. Your Atomic IIs are to you, a perfect example of what I'm saying.
