I'm thinking of putting some Seymour Duncan "Five-Two for Tele STL52 and STR52" pickups in an American Standard Telecaster. Any suggestions, feedback or concerns?

I've tried them and after about an hour, I could not get used to them and couldn't wait to get rid of them. IMO, they are two distinctly different tonalities in one pickup: The last 3 strings sounding bright, twangy and crisp whereas the first three sounded smooth, sweet and mellow. This was especially noticeable when playing just the G and D strings for certain passages. After a while, I felt like I was playing with three ancient strings and three brand new ones. Both were extremes of great Tele sounds but again, I was forced to play certain things in certain positions or the two tonalities would clash. Apparently, they work for a lot of people but definitely not for me. YMMV.

Thanks for the tips. Could you possibly suggest some other Seymour Duncan pickups?

Of the two types I described above, which, "camp" are you in?

I prefer the twangier sound.

In the Duncan line, I'd go with the Vintage ' 54 Lead (STL-1) for the bridge and the Vintage Rhythm (STR-1) for the neck.
