If I were you I wouldnt concern myself too much with pedals at the moment. Getting to know the amplifier and guitar you already own is far more important. Theres always time for mucking around with pedals later when your more used to working the controls of your guitar and amp. There are hundreds of thousands of different pedals out there. Some are terrible, some are fantastic and price doesnt have much to do with their quality either. Its a real minefield.

On a side note the Vibrochamp xd amplifier is a great tool. I've been playing 24 years now, played on many a stage, with many fine people. The vibrochamp amp is my goto amp at home, its quite stunning at some settings. Others less so. If I could work out how to get its #1 setting into my marshall I'd canabalize em both in a heartbeat and throw every other amp I own away. I cant recommend that little amp enough.

Alright, thanks. right now I'm just focusing on learning to play the guitar again. I'm following a video that has chords to master and then doing a practice track. I think I'm doing okay. I'm having a bit of a time getting my fingers to move fast enough, but I think I'm getting better at it. I can play longer now, and now when I switch to the classical guitar I have, I can play on it a little bit easier.

I'm just asking now because if I do want to take it that next step further, I'll have a general idea on what to do.

Thanks for being so friendly. I was kind of afraid I would be made fun of for asking questions that would be elementary to experienced guitar players. I've been bashed before for asking "stupid questions" on other boards so I was relieved that all of you were so informative and professional. Fender people must rock! :P

Again, thanks.

Where would i get a Vibrochamp xd amplifier? I didn't see it at Guitar Center where I usually shop online. Unless it's the Fender one?

Tell you what. I have this book

Image

Comes with a CD that has sound samples of a whole bunch of pedals. I'm not using it, and probably won't . PM me a mailing address....I'll send it to you. You like it, you send me 10 or 15 bucks later if you can manage it. If not, no worries. Now, I know the world is a weird place and you don't know me. I'm not that active on here, but if you go to surfguitar101.com or the Harmony Central boards you'll see 500 plus posts on either one. I'll be more than glad to send it to your local post office general delivery of you're worried about it. Up to you. I'm posting this publicly so that other people know whats up. Let me know.

Thanks for the offer, but I don't have much money right now. But thanks for the thought. BTW, pm messaging is disabled.

Good on you mate – that's a nice gesture... especially with all the crap that goes on in the world.
