I've got Ernie Ball hybrids on my Ibanez, EB regulars on my Warwick, and chromes 45-100 on my P-bass.

I use Curt Mangans. They're a reletively new brand I think, I've only found them at one music store. But the main reason I use them is they support a lot of underground and even some unsigned artists, and they last a while.

I just use D'Addario XL's or the on sale strings from MF or GC - I change my strings quite often so it was starting to get a bit expensive. I've been using 9-42 for years, I don't break strings at all and I play a lot. The heavier gauge strings do sound great though and make it a bit easier to nail the note when you bend up to it. I like to play the strings in just a bit to get rid of the bright, tinny sound and let it rip.

I switch between my PRS & Strat.

Keep rockin'!

well i kind of like the old sound alot since i like solid state amps (which i think is the oldest style. makes sense logically. not sure havent made any research.) so i like the 150's that fender makes but since i like a metal like distortion and the older distortion im curious about the steel strings too. any tips on that about the 250's and such? email me or message me on AIM or msn if you want.

I use GHS Boomers! the custom .10 gauge. I've never found a set of strings that has sounded good, stayed in tune for a long time of playing hard (With tremelo arm too) and is long lasting. I use to use Earnie Balls and Super Slinkies and I thought they were damn good strings, but then I strung my guitar up with some GHSs and WOW! And Blue Steals I'd have to say are horrible strings!

But I wouldn't recommend useing GHSs bass strings for your bass, they're not as durrable!

For my bass I use Earnie Ball flatwounds

D'Addario 10's. I tried most of the others and I really like the sound and the feel.

I used to use Rotosound, the 66's and the Spacers until I realised they eat the living $@!& out of my frets. So after a few grind and polishes and a few fret jobs, I only use DR's .45's - .105's. Plus they last forever it seems....
