I think the real ones have the fender logo and a # on the inside. Plus I'm pretty sure that the 57's pbass pups are diff from the 62's cause they sound worlds different, other that the fact they have diff fretboards.

I could be wrong tho

Welcome.

As there are no identifiers on many single coil pickups (not just Fender), you essentially have to know their history. Here are some indicators but again, traceability is always your best bet: The coils windings are an orange/gold color; the last four of the six strings polepieces are dramatically higher than the first two where the B string polepiece may even be level with the flat work of the pickup's top; black and white cloth covered lead wires; the top and bottom of the pickup are black; there also may be wax residuals anywhere on the pickups. If you have a VOM, their DC resistance will each read somewhere around the high 5K to low 6K ohms range.

Martian is right on about the b and e pole being low. They would be on the right side here:

http://www.premierguitar.com/Stream/Str ... _Type=full

Per fender spec :

DC Resistance: 5.6K, Inductance: 3.0 Henries

Here's the readings of my set:

Neck 5.74

mid 5.82

bridge 5.99
