I have some tex-mex pups I want touse as replacements for the stock ceramics in my 2002 MIM strat. I was looking at them and I found what looks like a loose wire on two of them. It still seems attached. It does not appear to be broke away. I say apperas so, I have a few pictures. is a "loose" wire from the rest of the wraps normal,or at least not a problem? I have not had them in anything so I haven't heard them. I will probably put them in unless I hear something contrary to that on a forum.
Thanks
heres the pics.

Based on your pictures, it appears to be nothing more than slopping winding where they look like they should work.

Do a, "dry run" first: Plug your jack into the amp and turn it on low. One at a time, put the pickup's hot lead to the tip of the jack and the pickup's negative lead to the side of the jack. Tap the pole pieces and if you get a healthy 'report', then you know the pickup works.
