Unfortunatly I don't have a way to compare the 2 in person. Looking for some descriptions/opinons of how the pups differ. I'm currently putting together my first strat (American Deluxe) and I think it's up between these two. Pro's / Con's anything to help me decide........
Thanks for the input.

It's really a matter of personal preference.

What sound(s) are you looking for ?

What amp(s) do you use ?

What effects ?

What music do you play.

I play jazz, blues, rock, and some other stuf.
And i have Texas Speciel on my strat. They gives a really nice tone, with very much middle, some says to much, but i like it, they gives a sweet and fat blues tone. But i do that, i don't turn the middle on my amp over 5 o'clock. and some up for the bass and treble, and it gives a nice clear tone.

I say go for it with trxas speciel, if ýou want Stevie ray vaughan, john mayer tone.

CS69 is a very clear vintage tone. The mids are scooped out to give more strength to the treble and bass. Great "bell" tones here.

The Texas Specials have added mids for more attitude. Not as sweet, but have a thicker tone.

The 69's are filled with that early hendrix vibe, and who dosen't love that?!? Great tone also. I Highly reccomend them; however I've never tried the texas specials.
