I have a guitar where the body is drilled for a 3-bolt micro-tilt neck attachment. But I do not have the micro-tilt hardware, and the replacement neck it pre-drilled for a 4-bolt connection. Also, if I put a standard neck screw in the middle/bottom screw-hole, I will end-up screwing the bolt right into the truss-rod of the neck. If I leave that bolt out, I will only have two bolts holding the neck on. :( Please advise! Thank you kindly.

Welcome.

I hate to tell you this but with a 4 bolt neck, the two top screws are further apart than that of a 3 bolt. Also, you have more issues here than merely screwing that third bolt direct into the neck or whatever.

You're going to have to convert one for the other. Meaning, you're going to have to dowel the top two screws in the body and redrill for a four bolt configuration which, will have that third bolt hole still showing from beyond the bottom of the 4 bolt plate or, you'll have to dowel the top two screw holes in the neck and redrill them to be compatible with the three bolt plate along with purchasing the micro tilt package and installing that too which requires still more drilling/routing. As you may surmise, whichever remedy you choose requires skill and precision in order for the guitar and neck to assemble and work correctly.

Either way, I recommended a competent tech for these critical modifications.
