I have 2 single coil Fender mexican strat pickups and both the bridge and the mid measure 3.33 some of the other pickups I have are typically around 6.75. Do you need to match up the neck with the same resistance as the bridge and the mid?
I would greatly appreciate the feedback.
Thanks,Chuck

Chuck, those 3.33 readings are quite low. Typically, the MIM single coils are in the higher 5K range. You might want to check the reliability of whatever meter it was that you used.

To answer your question, there's no 'rule' which says any group of pickups in a guitar must match. It is merely a part of it. Rather, it depends on the individual player's requirements as the output combinations are literally an any and all thing.. For example, in my Strats, I personally like the bridge pickup more powerful than the other two and like the middle pickup more powerful than the neck. This works for me and surely would not be found appropriate by others. Of note, DC resistance is not the "in stone" indicator of a pickup's power/tonality. It CAN be an indicator in many cases but NOT in many others.
