I have a 2 Strats with Texas Specials and love'em. My other Strats have Vintage Noiseless and I'm wanting to swap them out for a hotter p/u like the Texas Specials. The V-N's are nice, but don't have the bite I'm looking for.

How do the Texas Specials compare to...

Vintage Hot Noiseless 149.00 at GC
Custom Shop 69 189.00 at GC
Fat 50's Strat 189.00 at GC
54 Custom Shop 189.00 at GC

I am waniting pickups like the T-Specials that have a big bite/high
output... I originally planned to just buy more sets of T-Specials but
notices all the other "hot" models.

Is there a comparison chart anywhere?

Welcome.

I know of no comparison chart. However, here's my 2 cents, having used all the models you cite:

The Vintage Hot Noiseless are not 'hot' nor 'vintage' sounding. They sound like decent Strat pickups but have no really discernible 'personality'.

The Custom Shop 69s are about as far away from the Texas Specials as you can get. They are of lower output and have no midrange to speak of. Rather, their highs will pin your ears to a wall and the bass is crisp and percussive.

The Fat 50s are a moderate output pickup with an 'accent' on the midrange. Consider them, "Texas Special Lites" as they are of a smoother tonality in the same vein of the Texas Specials without the 'attitude'.

The Custom Shop 54s are of the bright, twangy variety but still possess adequate mids and lows. They are of moderate output.

YMMV.

Sorry to spoil your fun about getting Fender pickups, but there are quite a few guys out there who will custom wind to your specs and for over $40 less than the Fender CS pickups. Unless of course you want noiseless, then go for the DiMarzio areas, which I hear are fantastic, but I have no personal experience whatsoever.

But if you're okay with noise, then go here to the guy who winded mine, orPicker'sparts

Good luck!
