The only Noiseless set that comes with pots are the Vintage Noiseless. The Hot Noiseless uses the stock pots in the guitar.

I'm looking for some noiseless pick ups. Not sure which ones to to get. I want a soft hendix type sound with the neck pick up and would like a bit more roar than a standard pick up at the bridge. I played a strat a while back that had noiseless but I dont know which ones, but it had the best tone I've ever heard!

How are you finding the hot noiseless? I'm thinking of either them or the vintage ones I guess. Hope you're enjoying yours!

this may sound crazy but i got this lil SP-10 amp. And whenever i leave it on the overdrive... i put the guitar at .2-4... I leave the volume up at 8-10 on the amp(very unhealthy for the amp though) and i can get a nice Jimi Hendrix clean sound thats a lil distorted. put the guitar at 10 and put the amp on the clean channel... I get a nice SRV sound(especially in the 2nd position) I highly reccomend the Fender Hot Noisless pickups and one tip... Be sure to cut a little bit off the wires when soldering... You will end up with a big lump in your pickguard(especially for those with a S-S-S configuration)

Welcome!

Yes, it is. Do you want to dedicate one of the tone controls to that pickup or would you like to add a tone control to the bridge pickup like say, having the lower tone control work for the middle AND bridge pickup? Based on your preference, we can tell you how to wire it up.

Thanxs for the welcome!! l don't want to add a switch, so l would like to have the bridge pup wired to the bottom tone control. l have a mid 80's strat and l want to give it an up-grade. Along with the pups l bought new pots,250k along with a new 5way switch. l also have read that the diagram that comes with the pups isn't correct. any thoughts on that??

You're welcome.

If I'm telling you something you already know, please bear with me as you've misinterpreted my question and I want to get your guitar wired up right the first time: Stock, the upper tone pot on a Strat is for the neck pickup only. Now, depending on the model Strat, sometimes the lower tone pot controls the middle pickup only OR it could also be controlling the middle AND bridge pickup.

You've stated you want a tone pot for the bridge pickup without adding any components, I got that. Here's where the confusion comes in: I need to know which tone pots you want assigned to which pickup(s) and if you want any of the pickups NOT controlled by a tone pot at all. Yes, you can wire the guitar so that the upper tone pot controls the neck AND middle pickup with the lower tone pot just controlling the bridge pickup if you so choose.

Forget the diagram you have. As I'm sure you know, the tone pots are connected to the pickup selector switch too so once I know how you want the tone pots to function, I'll link you to a guaranteed, correct diagram and if necessary, give you a supplementary pickup selector switch wiring configuration for your tone pots' orientation.

The upper pot controls the neck & the lower controls the middle pickup. Adding the bridge to the lower pot along with the middle would be great. Thanxs for your help!!

Go to the top of this screen and click on, "Support".

Once on the Support screen, click on, "Wiring Diagrams/Parts List".

Scroll down to where you see, "American Standard Stratocaster".

Click on the second 'yes' from the left and there's your EXACT wiring diagram.

If you have any questions, just yell!
