hey people,
could someone tell me if the tweed fender deluxe case is suitable for taking a guitar on an airplane? i was wondering about whether it might easily get damaged or the guitar wouldnt be fully safe. Thanks!

From what I've seen of baggage handlers, I wouldn't dare! You'd be better off shipping it insured with FedEx or one of those type companies.

Carry on in a gig bag would be a better option. Check other luggage. Gator makes an ATA case that runs about $125.00 A friend has used it and not had a problem, but usually carries his on. I just got back from California and didn't have any problem carrying mine on.

Hello Telecasi,

It'll do the job but damage to the case would not suprise me.
Those new plastic Fender cases seem pretty bulletproof,
If I were a travler I'd own one of them.

Cheers.
