I thought Kinman made the Woodstock pickups. Fralin makes the Vintage Hots and the Blues Specials. Maybe I'm not up to date?

I think 357 is correct. The Kinman Woodstocks pups do have a single coil-like sound, full and clear, but you might want to try the Fralin Vintage Hots for a more classic stratty tone. Both are very good though.

Yes, I think 357 and Mike are correct. If you want noiseless, I would first tell you to look at DiMarzio Areas. I hear that they're the best noiseless around. However, if you don't want noiseless, then I'd suggest you look at Copperhead pickups or Rumpelstiltskin pickups. They're custom wound to your specs, and only $145 and $125 a set, respectively. I got mine from Rumpelstiltskin, and I sure realized that all those big name pickup manufacturers are selling hype, and they're that expensive because of the name.

+1 to the Copperheads. I bought a set earlier this year, and I can't say enough good things about them. Relatively inexpensive, with just a fantastic sound.
