I've looked at the Squier Bullet wiring schematic, and it said that the pots are 500k ohms. The pickups that I got are vintage-style, so that would be too sterile, and I need 250k. Where would you find cheap pots?

You have a Squier Bullet! Well, why don't you try out the 500K ohm pots for a while (to save you some money). See for yourself about the sterility! You might be happy enough with them.

What brand pickups did you get?

I got Rumpelstiltskin pickups.

http://rumpelpickups.com/products

I didn't even know these existed! $42 for a custom wound vintage-style Stratocaster pickup, and $50 for a Telecaster single. I'd seriously, seriously recommend him. I'll say it again: hand wound to [your] spec.

It takes a bit of time, but hey, they sound wonderful, and not fart-y like my stock squier pickups. They've substituted the copper wire for some copper tape lol. And don't get me started on the bobbins.

Actual copper coils!! Yes!

Aaron makes some great pups. I've done some online jamming with him and some of the sounds that I've heard from the ones he's using are amazing!

His Rumplecaster is a great sounding guitar too!!!
