Hello all, I'm Mauro from Italy and I'm new in the forum. I'm a luthier, I build archtop and Maccaferri style guitars and I don't have much experience with electric guitars.
The last day came here a guy who asked me to change the pickups of his american Fender Stratocaster with the Vintage Noiseless pickups. I've done the work with the schematics that I've found inside the pickups' box but the guitar doesn't work good, the central pot (tone) if closed turn off the volume. I've seen also that there are some little capacitors, do you know what do they are and where do I have to put them? May it be because I didn't put them that the guitar doesn't work good?
Thanks much and sorry for my english!!
Mauro

Bonjourno Mauro.

Did your customer bring you the complete set of pickups?
If he did there would be 3 pickups. 3, 1meg pots. 2 capacitors and 1 resistor.
The .22uf capacitor is to be used for the tone control.
The other capacitor and resistor are for a treble bleed modification to the volume pot. like on this page. Sorry its not in italian, if you use google translator it may suit you more.
