I don't know if I would qualify as, "advanced" in your teacher's eyes but FWIW, I don't use the middle pickup either unless I'm playing a copy tune which really requires the middle pickup to combined with one of the other two for the correct tonality. As a matter of fact, I use a 3 way pickup selector switch and my guitar is wired like a Tele (with a blend pot too, of course, for the aforementioned reason).

Hendrix was pretty darn good and he used the middle pickup...

I use it a lot myself, and I'm not just strumming chords either. I don't see why you'd want to take away one of your options by removing a pickup. If you don't use it, don't use it but leave it in there for when you do. I hardly ever use my bridge pickup, but I'm glad it's there when I do.

Many, many people do use the middle pickup and there is absolutely nothing demeaning about it.

Your reasoning is the way I used to look at it until I realized that I never, ever used the middle pickup by itself and at the same time, favored the neck and bridge constantly. So, not liking all the 5 way clicking and constantly having to work the blend pot, I figured this is what works best for me. "Viva la difference!"

I am going to pickup my guitar on Monday and if it is not ready I have a friend who can help me put them in. I know I will put in the area 67 in the middle. From the CS69 pups how will I know which one goes to the bridge, middle and neck. When I open the package will they be marked?

The 69 are all the same so any of them can and do go in any position. Consequently, there wouldn't be any markings.

Kinman makes a "Woodstock" set that aims at Hendrix's sound. Hendrix's pickups were certainly hotter than those installed in 50's stratocasters.

He died September 18, 1970. I remember.

I beg to differ, especially when it comes to the 58 and 61/62 Strat pickups.

Your guitar tutor should stop assuming that advanced guitarist do not use the middle pickup.
