Hi there,

I tried searching for the forums for a similar problem with these pickups to no avail. I installed them a month or so ago and really love the sound. Unfortunately when the gain or volume is pushed up, I get the 60 cycle hum really bad to where it's almost unbearable. Now I've played guitars with these pickups that did not have this problem. Could I have done something incorrect when wiring them in?

Oh yes, I have a 2005 Fender Mexican Strat

Shielding the guitar will make a big difference.

Interesting. Will definitely look into it and let you know if it worked out. Thanks Mike

Im looking forward to your results of the shielding

I bought 2 sets of these a while back, installed one set in one of my strats, and then gave the other set away - I am not a fan at all of these! Hope you have better luck than I did

If you want quiet play a vertical humbucker. Dimarzio makes excellent ones. Shielding is ineffective.

I haven't shielded it yet as limitation of time won't allow. I did readjust my pickups height and slap an AC conditioner before the amplifier which did cut down a bit. The only time I get hum is when I'm not physically touching the strings.
