First off, first post. Hi all.

Secondly, I bought these and threw 'em in my '01 mexican strat after playing a Jeff Beck, and all I can say is WOW! The tone is absolutely amazing, aeons better than what I had before. There's no turning back to stock pickups for me anymore.

What do you guys think of these?

oh, yeah! That's what I love about them. They clean up beautifully too.

BUT, if I were to change one thing about them, I'd make the bridge a TAD hotter (not by much). But they're also extremely versatile. I use bridge/middle combo almost exclusively, and they're amazing.

I think they are Fender's best noiseless set. Not super hot, just right IMO. 8)

I was considerin replacing my Vintage Noisless with Hot Noisless, but I wasn't sure if they were different enough. Have you compared them?

That would be interesting information if somebody, who used both kinds of Fender Noiseless could tell us about how do they differ.

I have a Strat with Hot Noiseless, and a Tele with Vintage Noiseless.
To be fair, the only difference I notest is the output, and it isn´t so much difference at all.
May be the Vintage have a little more "twang", and the Hot have more bass response, but nothing so radical.
As some guys say, the Hot aren´t really so "hot".

I love what those pickups does to my guitars, anyway.
They sound very clean, sweet, and scream when overdriven.
I´m going from quiet ballads to heavy metal fury, and can play everything in the middle very well, even with the Tele.

Kensai - thank you very much for your reply - it is very helpful.

Have you also tried other Fender's hum-cancelling pickups like Samarium Cobalt Noiseless, or Fender-Lace Sensors ?

Thank you in advance.

Tomek

Oh yes, I had a Fender Strat with Lace Sensors some years ago.
I didn´t liked at all...had the red at bridge, silver at middle and blue at the neck.
How to describe them?
Quiet and smooth, but don´t sound like typical Fender single coil twang.
Boring, whitout the chime and bell.
Think that Fender don´t use them anymore normally in their Deluxe models.
Clapton stopped to use them, too.

I tried a Deluxe Stratocaster HSS with two Samarium Cobalt noiseless at middle and bridge positions.
They are cool, but I can´t compare with the Hot or Vintage noiseless because I didn´t had my own guitars at the same time, and I used a cheap Marshall MG to play that guitar.
To explore how a pickup really sound, I personally need a good valve amp.

But my first impression was: they have the twang, and a very good sound.

Hope it helps.
