i want to change the pick guard and p/u covers, knobs ect to all black on my custom classic. it has white now.
my question is...... am i going to have to adjust the pickup height after i replace the the pickup covers? or are they going to go back into place without adjustments.

In order to replace the pup covers you have to completely remove them from the pick guard.
Measure and write down your current pup heights before you start. use those measurements to reset the height when you are done.

Also, keep in mind that some aftermarket parts (non genuine Fender replacement parts) might not have the same specs and fit.

If you feel safe doing it, experiment with pickup heighth some. You can get a lot of different sounds at different heighths.
