Hi,
I earlier posted a question concerning pickups and the placement of the rubber spacers. It turns out that I did have them in the proper order (Screw through pickguard into spacer into pickup) I still have the same problem with the screws backing out when I'm trying to lower them and the pickups also seem to wobble, meaning not solid in the pickguard. What is it I'm doing wrong? Since the pickups are the Hot Noiseless variety, I'm trying to get them as near flush with the pickguard as I can because of their high output.

I just had to change the pickup adjusting screws to longer ones and go with springs instead of the rubber tubing on one of my Strats. My pickups are now flush with the pickguard.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. It's gonna puzzle me why the standard setup didn't work. The HN's look the same as the standards I replaced. Just a mystery of life I guess.
