Greetings,
Can someone describe how the pickups are connected to the pickguard? I mean, I stupidly did not take note how the screws and rubber spacers are joined below the pickguard when I removed the old ones and when I try to adjust the pickups the screws keeps backing out on me instead of moving the pickups up and down. Am I making any sense?

i think its to do with the height of the bridge saddles, and the buzz caused by the strings being close to the pickups. Thats why theres the adjustments. I think.

clockwise = pickups are supposed to come up...
counter clockwise = pickups are suppposed to go down....

now if the screws are coming out I would think you just need to push them down with little force :)

The screw goes through the pickguard, then the spacer goes on, then the screw is screwed into the pickup.
Turn the screw clockwise to raise the pickup.

Thanks guy. That's exactly what I needed to know. I think I put the rubber spacer on the opposite side of the pickup. I didn't have another guitar to compare it to.
