I don't know much about the TBX and Boost on a Clapton strat. I need advice.

I have a Clapton signature strat from 1999. It has Gold Lace Sensor pickups. I like the guitar (especially the construction of the body and neck). I'm not as in love with the pickups as I used to be. So I tend to play my 62 RI strat with Texas Specials a lot more.

What would it be like to replace the Gold Sensor's with vintage-style pickups (maybe CS '69 or even some Lollar or Fralin pups)? Would the TBX and Midrange Boost in the Clapton Strat make those pups too noisy? I don't like the "noiseless" pups, so if that is my only option I'll keep the Lace Sensors.

BASICALLY, I WANT TO KNOW HOW A VINTAGE-STYLE PICKUP WOULD REACT TO THE TBX AND BOOST THAT ARE CURRENTLY ON THE CLAPTON STRAT.[/b]
