This is my first post here in Fender forum land...im a bit scared but here goes :)

I have a Fender Mexican standard stratocaster (2006), and ive just bought a box/set of Fender vintage noiseless pickups...im very exighted and cant wait to have them put in...and here lies the problem.

Upon looking in the box everythings there pickups, cap, resister etc.
The sheet/wiring diagram that came with the pickups, show all the pots to be 1Meg but on the back of the pots in the box 2 are 1Meg but one is 500k.

Ive seen another post that says that the 500k is the volume pot and the 2 1Meg pots are for the tone(s).... anyone know if this is right?
Also, on the wiring diagram at the top all it says is Fender (logo) vintage noiseless strat pickups and the diagram below.

Do i get my local guitar shop (if the pots are right) to follow this diagram? Is there anyone out there that has already gone through this problem and has a any advice they can give me.

Thanks
Devil82

500k volume is right. You wont do any damage by using a 1meg vol and 1meg and 500k tone pots though.

UPDATE

Ive had my fender noiseless pickups put in. The tech (Simon) rang me up and said that he was leaving the guitar shop (where he works down the road from me) in about 20-25 mins...i told him that i just started presure washing the patio out the back. Now we all know that he could have said
"Oh well youll have to wait till im in next" but he asked for directions where i live and he would drop it into me.

He was true to his word and he came with in half an hour. He said that the strat is now at factory standard. I'd just been paid a couple of days before and i didnt have change so i said that he'd have to have the rest for petrol lol... he was quite chuffed and said that he hadnt had a tip in years lol

I took the scratch plate off when he had gone to have a look and it was very neat and very tidy. So i put on a fresh set of strings and tried it through my little Marshall practice amp...the first thing i noticed was the difference in noise..... there was none. Happy with this the tone seems to be cool too, tomorrow i've got to try my guitar through my amp and set the pickup height....

if anyone has got any advice / tips for setting pickup height please post a reply i need all the help i can get, and i realy want to get the best tone i can.

Do a search for my post on "Nickel Method", there are also some very good threads on "Pickup Height"

FYI,
My Fender Vintage Noiseless set came with a 500k ohm vol pot, too. After several years, I replaced the volume pot, selecting a 1Meg ohm pot, based on the wiring diagram. Works fine.
