I hope this is the right place to post this, it's about the fender branded Boss FBM-1 pedal, so I hope so!

Basically I'm just wondering where I should put it in my effects chain, which right now is:

strat - [wah - compression - overdrive - distortion - flanger - reverb] - pro junior

cheers,
Hammer

I might be wrong, but I think since its sort of an amp modelling pedal, I might put it last or next to last...but then again, while there are certain guidelines that people stick to at times with pedal placement, there are not really any set-in-concrete rules, so experiment and put it where you feel it sounds best...

Or - ideally - an effects loop.

The thing about effects chains is that everyone has a different, and usually good, opinions about where to put certain pedals. My own opinion is that you should experiment. I personally dislike this pedal, but my first instinct would be to use it near the start of your chain into a clean amp. That way it acts as an overdrive of sorts, modified by the rest of your effects, and into what will serve as a power amp (your amp). You could, however, use it in a multitude of ways....good luck!

It was a bit of an impulse buy, but its not a bad pedal. What I've been using it for mainly is to allow me shape my clean sound a little more than I could with the single tone knob on the pro junior. I have a keeley modified blues driver for my overdrive, so this is really just to allow me to alter my clean sound a little depending on what mood I'm in, and for this its pretty nice. I'm undecided about it as an overdrive pedal, but I haven't really been using it for that so I'm not really in a position to comment on that.
