Has anyone used the Fender Deluxe Reverb pedal made by Boss? I'm considering getting one to run through my Pro Jr for the overdrive, reverb, and tremolo effects, but I've read mixed reviews...and I've read a LOT of reviews. Lots of research, but I'm not sure I trust just anyone's opinion so it would be nice to hear from the Fender community (who have most likely used this pedal or possibly even have the Deluxe Reverb amp to compare it to). Your opinions and experiences?

Thanks in advance.

Is there any particular sound you're after? Or do you just want it for the fun and function of it? Trouble is with these things - when effects like that are squeezed into one tiny stomp box, they aren't that great. Limited and not very exciting..

Sorry to give you a pants input as I'm sure you want it, but if you were me, I'd probably get something else. The reverb this pedal has will not match even close a valve amp's reverb.. Same goes for the trem, the overdrive may be okay though.

I steer clear of Boss (apart from the tuner) simply because I don't find them very exciting. But that's me, you may be different.

Its a amp modeling pedal. Dont put it into the guitar input of a amp. They were never designed to work with the after effect eq'ing. Your better off plugging your guitar into the input of the pedal and the output of the pedal into the effects return of the amp. Then just use the pedals controls to get the twin reverb sound you want.
I agree that boss are boring and generic as are everyone else including the plethora of so called boutique pedal makers out there. Theres no room for experimentation in the market today.

I owned this pedal for a couple of months and ending up selling it. The reverb is OK at lower levels, but once turned past 1/4 turn it became fake sounding. The vibrato is OK, but I hardly used it. I sold it and bought a Blues Deluxe and couldn't be happier.

Thank you guys very much for oyur feedback. It sounds like I should avoid this pedal...especially since I would be running it straight into a Pro Jr and not through an effects loop. I guess the old saying is correct...if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.
Thanks again.
