I have them and think they are great! Should be a big improvement over your stock squier pups.

Guaranteed, they'll be leaps and bounds better than what you have in there now!

If you want blues, NOT FOR YOU. If you want real SRV tone, go for Fender 57/62 Pickups. I had mine specially underwound, for my "The Black One" Replica. perfect for emulating Stevie and John's tone.

You're quite welcome.

Actually, no. You might get a hair, rhythm wise off the bridge or middle pickup but in terms of, the "big picture", definitely no.

I have them in one of my Strats. No, it won't make you sound like SRV (nothing will), but that doesn't mean it's no good for blues. I like the tone quite a bit, especially for blues.

Maybe it was just my set in particular. sounded horrible and very trebley clean, and grungy when driven. bad pickups for the music and songs I play and cover. I played a SRV Sig and didn't notice much difference. sorry that I feel this way.

Please tell us more about your specially underwound '57/'62 pickups.
Who did that for you? What do they spec out to now? The resistance, I mean.

IIRC, they aren't real hot to begin with (I'll have to check what mine spec out to). Whatever, it sounds cool, as I like low output pickups.
