ohed,

Welcome!

The black leads are your ground. The blue and the red are your +.

Thanks for the reply.
Now I am puzzled. I have these combined with a Seymour Duncan JB and SD says that with Fender PUs you must wire the SD reversed. However my setup not reversed (and the Fender PUs are wred Black to ground). By these rules I should be out of phase. I have tested for phasing by hooking up a VOM to each PU and observing the meter deflection when I tap on the pole pieces of each PU. The consistent (same direction) meter deflection says I am in phase.
Can you help explain this dilemma???

Also can you ID these pickups by the description I gave???

Well, first of all, I've found oftentimes that regardless of what a pickup manufacturer tells you about their phasing with another manufacturer's pickups, it is often wrong. So that's of no real consequence. Also, based solely on your description of the Fender pickups, they could be a standard American one such as the Delta Tone or they could very well be Mexican such as the Tex Mex. The Mexican made pickups oftentimes are reverse phased to their American counterparts. So, here too, this would account for your VOM readings. The bottom line is wiring them up where you shall have your de facto answer.

These Fender PUs were purchased from a reliable Ebay seller specializing in new and used Fender stuff. The PUs were advertised as American Standard with Alnico V magnets so I think they are American.

Then why did you ask what they were?
