Hi All

I have a niggling sound problem with the single coil pickups i am using. It seems to be that when i play notes through a mildly destorted amp i get a faint vibrating sound over the sound of the note. I dont know what is causing this and it is really frustrating as it seems to be spoiling the natural sound. I have had the problem with a set of CS 69's and Texas Specials. There is no fret buzz on the guitar (just has a pro setup) and the pickups are not to high. If any one has had the same problem and knows the cause i would love to hear from you.

Thanks

Craig: the most common cause of that problem is pickups set too close to the strings. It's so common it even has a name: "Stratitis."

Try lowering your pickups and see if it doesn't go away (and see if your whole guitar doesn't sound sweeter to boot).
