I just discovered those dunlop picks with the rhino on them, and I must say I love them. I use 1.0s now I just discovered how much of a difference thicker picks make it's amazing! I would highly recommend anyone try thicker than they're used to, but maybe that's just me.
How about you guys?

when i use a pick i have a special brass one. It doesnt give a bit. I strongly recommend trying out different materials for different tones.

I have three different picks I use so far. I notice each has a different tone and the attack on the strings varies also.

Ive been using the orange Dunlops for close to 30 years. I honestly don't know anything beyond that. They felt and still feel right and because I know the color, that's how I've ever bought them. I did check just now but I'm still no further ahead as the print is worn off the ones in front of me. It's a full sized pick with a combination of a thin/medium feel.

I use either Fender Medium's or the yellow Dunlop ones with the turtle on it. I think they're called tortex or something, but I don't know since the logo has worn off of them. They're sort of grippy, which I love because when I use a slick pick (like the Fender Medium's), they have a tendency to fly out of my hand when I start sweating.

V-Picks Medium pointed, regular and Nite-Glo, and I believe they are 2.25mm.

Once again.

I like them thick.

I prefer 1.14 mm picks--but I've used thicker ones & thinner ones.

I prefer Dunlop Tortex & Gator Grips, but I've bought others, and I use others.

I have well over 100 picks at home right now. I'd have to count them to check them out.

I have a couple of those rhino ones mentioned--Dunlop Ultex, but I find them too flexible for my style.

What's important is finding ones you like and going with those--whether it's an actual guitar pick, your fingers, something else, or any combination thereof.

I've been using my finger more often lately, but still like a pick for some stuff.

I started with good ol' Fender mediums, and now here I must stay. I have tried thicker, but I lost so much control. I tried thinner, and - frankly - I do not know how anyone finds those useful. I have tried all different shapes, but none work as good for me as the standard Fender medium's shape. It does not have to be a true "Fender" pick, but it must be a good clone with that same type of plastic, too ... otherwise the "give" on it is not right.

I know ... boring. Sorry.

I used to use the fender mediums, then switched to dunlop stubbys, which are great. I've lost 2 of them though, then tried out dunlop jazz II and jazz III. I'm using the Jazz III right now, but it's still not as nice as the stubby, which I'm going back to shortly.

I use the Eric Johnson signature Jazz III picks from dunlop guess they are about 1.mm thick and they are IMO much better than the regular Jazz III picks....
