I'm wondering why Fender have never (to my knowledge) released a tremelo or reverb pedal. Surely based on amp effects performance fender are leaders in these sounds. O.k i know fender have the reverb covered but i dont want to shell out £300 odd on a tube reverb tank. Surely The switchability of a pedal format would be attractive. On the champ xd amps the digital effects are perfect for basing such effects. Obviously the controls could be added to vary sound a bit more.

Mike you await that day with baited breath too eh? Truth is they are 2 classic fender sounds far easier to recreate than a whole bassman or twin inside a pedal, and do it well. I just cant figure why fender wouldnt want to exploit that fact. I knew what the fender reverb sound was way before i ever heard a bassman.

Theres far too much truth in that statement. The sad fact is they'd probably make more on pedals. A robust housing must surely be the majority of the manufacture cost. People also buy pedals far more than they do amps. Imagine if every marshall amp user could have the option of fender reverb. I'm sure they'd sell like hot cakes.

I have a Blues Jr. and love it. Outside of the fact that it has no effects other than reverb, I added Boss pedals to get what I want. Like the above statement, it must be another way to sell other amps. What I don`t like about the pedals is the hum they create in the amp, like with the Compression Sustainer and the Blues Driver. So now you need a Noise Supressor to eliminate the hum and static. The more you add on, the more you need to tame it down. You would think they would make the pedals with the noise suppressor built into it but like any other company its a way of selling more items. Each pedal comes out to $100 or more depending on what effect you add on. Then you need a powered pedal board or similar item. Our passion can put us in the poor house.

Yep, and depending on your noise gate, you then can start affecting the amount of sustain. That's why I went to a single multi-effects rack. All the effects are in one place, and never add noise. However, I don't use much effects, just use a little bit to color things a bit.

Seems like a merry-go-round. So far the tremolo is the best, gave me what I wanted without any noise, its clean. If the NS-2 which is in the mail don`t do the job, 2 pedals are going up for sale. The CS & BD.

If it can be done with software, it could surely be easier with hardware :

Thats a great idea for people into recording. I hate listening to myself recorded im far too self critical. I record, get it right, when i received the cd would listen once and put it safely in the cupboard never to be seen again. The whole studio in your pc thing passed me by.
