That guitar looks nice :) I have a modded strat with HSH configuration and my two Humbuckers are splittable so it is kind of the same thing :)

That is what I thought of when I saw it - splitting the buckers for clean bridge/mid and mid/neck. Maybe a 5 way Superswitch instead of rockers? Or splitting them with push/pull pots?

By the way - can you run full humbucker bridge/neck together on yours?

Doesn't look as crowded as I thought it would. No more than my HSS with a Floyd Rose. Seen some HHH models(not Fenders!) that had solid pickups from bridge to neck - looked unplayable.

Back in the day, I was dyed-in-the-wool Gibson guy. I remember the first time I played an Ace Frehley HHH Les Paul. It was a thing of beauty, and I was so jazzed to play it. But after strapping it on, I was so disapponted. With the third humbucker in the middle, there was no where to pick. I was ready for a nirvana-esque experience, but - instead - after a few minutes, I was done. Just like you said ... "unplayable".

On my modded strat I can run all and every pickup combination via push pull switch for split coil and one of the knobs is a bridge volume knob in switch positions 3, 4 or 5 :)

Sounds like an awesome setup. I mainly use just bridge or neck/mid. The rest have too much hum. Should have held out for an HH.
