I have an Amercian Series Strat recently purchased used with 3 of the older Noiseless pickups. I had my tech replace the bridge pickup with a Dimarzio Tone Zone S after hearing one in the 57 Hot Rod., which has the Tone Zone S and two of the newer Noiseless pickups. When these pickups are wired in the same manner as the 57 Hot Rod, it sounds like the Tone Zone is being coil tapped in the #2 position - greatly reduced output and a "transistor radio" sound - not at all like the #2 in the Hot Rod. Any advice on this?

Welcome!

It sounds like you have a phasing problem. On the DiMarzio, reverse the red and the green wires. Also make sure that the black and white wires are wired together and insulated.
