hi, after changing the stock pick up on the bridge with a fender lace sensor, now replacing the stock one again, i can hear some noise during the p-ups switching using the switcher.

this is most noticeable with the tone control closed and almost disappears when it is full open.

the guitar is an american standard stratocaster

i don't remember if this kind of noise was present in the original configuration too, as lace sensor p-ups are noiseless...

thanx in advance!

cheers!

Actually, Lace Sensors aren't noiseless; this is a popular misconception. Rather, they are low noise.

I'm thinking that you probably have a phase problem and/or a non-humbucking situation when combining the LS and the middle pickup or to a lesser extent, your capacitor is 'tired'.

i meant low noise :)

i have all stock pick ups now, the lace sensor is apart and inside its box.

actually i notice some noise coming when switching pick ups using the 5 way toggle.
and this is more evident with the tone control totally closed and almost disappears when it's all the way open-

Premising your toggle is clean, try changing the capacitor and see what happens.
