Hello are you looking for a fender pickup or any brand. If any the following are the hottest gfs lil killer hot 15k pickup $25, or the Neovin neo9 or nal9 bot are $33 a piece from www.guitarfetish.com. This brand gfs is amazing! Not bad but better than seymour or dimarzios!!! Dimarzio's yjm Yngwie Malmsteen pickup is $70 and 25k from many places like musicians friend. These are the best hot pickups I know!!!

Well, not really. The YJM does have a high DC resistance of ~25k, but is also a stacked coil pickup. That alone gives it a totally different set of rules. The YJM is actually a very weak pickup and will not drive an amp even as much as a vintage single coil.

The Seymour Duncan Hot Rails is a very hot, hard driving pickup. It is also a dual blade humbucker, and maybe the most popular for metal tones. If you want a single coil, then look at the Duncan Quarter Pound.

Thanks for the advise. I want a pickup that fits in the body without routing it out. Lots of gain and distortion. But not Metal. If that make sense.

Okay, then I would recommend the Seymour Duncan Li'l Screamin' Demon. It's not an over-the-top spiked mids type of tone, but rather a full balanced tone that will sing with a lot of gain. Listen to this recording I made with mine. I have the Li'l Screamin' Demon in the bridge position with two standard Fender single coils in the neck and mid positions. I don't use the bridge pickup until the end (5th verse) as I cycle through all five selector postions starting with the neck...

If you think you want a bit more sustain than this, then you could try the Duncan JB Jr. which is also a Strat-sized humbucker with a bit more output and more of an upper mid notch to it's tone.

Im sorry on my false info on the yjm. But I would recondmend a lil killer but not the hot unless you want to rplace alll three! The modern a 10k dual rail monster that is still $25! But if you want the hole set it would cost $60 or you could have them do you a handmade pickguard with some things you want!!! The pickguard would cost $175 lowest with lil killers and $185 at max!!! GFS picups rule they are my favorite check out the lil killer on youtube by typing in gfs lil killer!!! Hey one more thing if you don't want to have a pickup for stricklly metal by seymour duncan get the lil 59er, its a good pickup. Its what I have but I got it before I knew of gfs othewise I would have got the lil killer hot!!! The tweeter and the monkeyman cover is a ggod demo!!! Gfs rules.

Dimarzio fasttrack 2. High gain humbucker with a nasal, nearly p90 sound. All in a singlecoil sized housing.

I own some Gary Moore, and I've tried to appreciate his playing, but his hard rock/metal roots kill his blues interpretations for me.

Mark's feel is excellent, very Gilmourish, and I wonder that he has David as one of his influences. 8)

Hey Thanx. I count Gary Moore and David Gilmour both among my influences. And I've made some recordings from each...

Im debating going with SCN pickups or the fender custom shop 69' pickups.

i like super clean tones and gritty bluesy tones

but i also like to play to play some EVH type stuff.

Any suggestions?
