I recently did a complete take-apart and set up on my 1996 Fender Fat Strat MIM. I am trying to find out what kind of pickups come in this guitar. Whether they are Alnico or ceramic, vintage or hot.
The neck and middle pup have staggered pole pieces, and have the following info
neck unit - # 016730 w/ black and white wires
middle unit - # 016730 w/ red and black wires
bridge humbucker no # w/ green and white wires on the fixed pole side
w/ red and black wires on the adjustable pole side
end of neck stamp is 70226
neck pocket stamp is M50668ImageImage

Thanks for the reply! I am curious as to why you think the singles are Texas specials and the humbucker a SD?? Where did you get your info from?

Don't know about the humbucker, but those are likely just standard Fender 6k alnico 5 single coils. They didn't put Texas Specials in those Strats.

The info on the Texas Specials & Duncan Seymour Humbucker came from a Fender Tech.
REMEMBER, this was a special order Deluxe Lone Star.

The humbucker says DUNCAN SEYMOUR on the cover.

I'm sorry Wes, but how did this '96 MIM Fat Strat turn into a Special Order Lone Star Strat?

To many homicides on my mind. Sorry about that. Running homicide in a city of 3 million does get things confused sometimes. That post was supposed to go to another site.
My alpologies.
