I have a Strat Plus w/ Gold lace sensors, and I was thinking of changing out the pups. I want something a little thicker sounding and with more gain. I don't really play much metal, mostly classic rock/alternative rock. I was thinking about the Lace red/silver/blue combo, or the Hot Gold with the 13.2 bridge. I wasn't sure how much different the hot vs. the standard gold would be, so I was a little concerned about spending the money. Anyone out there made similar changes? Any suggestions? thx!

Listen to SMark's clips using the hot golds...they sound great!

Above is my website address. I have a few Strats that I've loaded with Hot Golds and you can click on any one of them there and it will take you to another page that will have a link to a recording I've made with it as well as an extended description of the Strat...

If want hotter and thicker stuff,
I would suggest you go for the Red Sensor pickup in the bridge if u like Lace Pickups, its got the fatness of a humbucker.

Otherwise, you can always try the Dimarzio Super Distortion S and the Tone Zone S; these are legendary pickups made into single coils and they sound full and awesome!

You can also try the hot rails from Seymour Duncan, the Lil 59, the Quarterpound flat/Staggered etc..

Contact me if u need any help.
