From my experience with the Highway Ones, I would say keep 'em. They get me a great JM tone, especially for Vultures and the screming tone that he gets on I Don't Need No Doctor. Some things work, some don't. I'm also playing mine through a 15-watt Marshall (which I recommend to almost anybody by the way), so, yes, amps will make a difference.

Are you able to get anywhere near the sounds you want?

What amp do you use?

It would be the MG15CD. It sounds great. My dad has a Blues Junior that I play on occasion. Phenomenal amp, I also recommend it.
