This looks very interesting...no cables or footswiches to get in the way. It doesn't work on vibration either like those Intellitouch ones and it looks like it would fit all of my Fender guitars :

The only thing that would be cooler, was if it said "Fender" on it.

I thought that this would get some feedback in this area, maybe I should have posted it in the lounge area?

Can you have it hooked up to your guitar and still plug into your amp?

I mean, does it have a pass through so that you can run a cable from the tuner to the amp? I don't think I see one.

It's not a true-bypass type tuner. I think that would defeat it's design purpose.

"The pitchjack incorporates a compact folding design. It also accepts a key ring for easy attachment to a gig bag, case or keychain. A built-in LED flashlight provides illumination as needed onstage or in other dimly lit situations. In addition, the pitchjack is available in black, red and white."

If . . . . .

The plug can swivel about 90 degrees from the product picture,

And, you have a tuner output on the front of your amp,

I think you can see where I'm going with this.

Maybe, but for others, could you elaborate?

It looks interesting, but it seems that one would have to keep plugging it in, and take it off to tune.

I sometimes play for up to 4 hours, and I end up tuning it, from time to time, while I'm playing. For me it would be a pain to keep having to take out the cable, then plug in the tuner. Because of that I would prefer an in-line tuner, that I can just turn on and off with my foot.

Sorry for the delay, MM.

I was thinking that if you have a tuner output jack on the front of your amp you can plug this device in just let it go while playing. Unfortunately, my amps only have a rear access tuner jack output. I suppose I could rig up an extension cable and run the tuner to the front somewhere.

Hopefully it can swivel enough to be seen easily while playing and just do a quick glance down to check your tuning.

This kind of goes along with Syeklops' response that it would be inconvenient to be plugging this thing in to double check tuning during long sessions.

Also, it could possibly eliminate a floor pedal taking up space.

I think the design is meant more for a quick tuning check rather than being used as an all-purpose tuner. :?:
