Hi there not sure what you are asking. Is this a side topic.
The 4 pole double throw switch generally switches from the centre terminals to one of the outersets either side in the on/on positions. Do you intend using this for coil switching both pus. If so maybe second pic but would have to test.
The fender one has only two poles press button (for 1 pu) to switch the centre to the top terminals (closet to the pot)unpressed and the bottom terminals pressed. Note this switch has a tone pot sitting on top of it. :D

I’m asking if the second pic would do the trick.

Split both pickups with the wiring that came in the box with the pickups.

It’s basically 2 toggles controlled by one switch.

I drew the second pic assuming that the top and bottom lugs are what is controlled by the toggle and keeping the middle row of lugs on.

Yep but note the gnds are on the same side as the red.
Still that's main fender diagram leaves me wondering as mentioned. :D

Just as you said that I was actually fixing it on my iPad lol

I ordered a 4pdt toggle and will give it a try. I honestly think this is the answer to this very long and complicated problem.

Here's the final product of what I think will work:
Image

NOTE: I'm coil splitting 2 brand new Fender DoubleTap (shaw) humbuckers with master volume, master tone, and a toggle switch to split the coils. I have now configured a 4PDT on-on switch to incorporate both pickups from the original diagram wiring.

Any thoughts?

Excellent.

Switch designations describe the operation.
SPST = Single Pole Single Throw (on-off)
SPDT = Single Pole Double Throw (on-on, or possibly on-off-on)
DPDT = Double Pole Double Throw (on-on, or possibly on-off-on)
TPDT = Three/Triple Pole Double Throw (on-on, or possibly on-off-on)
etc...

They are simply "stacked" SPDT switches with a common lever, so each group of 3 lugs is one set of contacts.

This looks correct.
Ground attaches to the same side of the common as the red, not gray.

It worked, guys!

So I did the tap test with one of the covers off and it did very well split the coils. My question is though:

When split to single coil, is the slug side supposed to still make sound? It does but it’s like.. very little sound. I thought it was supposed to completely cancel out?

Tapping the covers, you will, since the cover, base, and bobbins still transmit the tap each other.
It won't happen with the strings, the pickup works electrically through the strings disturbing the magnetic field.

Congrats... sounds like everything is working!

i had issued wiring this pickup too, so thanks for the help, after your schematic and many tries, this is how i managed to make it work - i'll have to see if it works inside the guitar too :))

i to wire it for a 3 way toggle with one push/pull pot. the guitar is an HS configuration with a single volume and no tone. i hope the image shows, i don't know if i did it right..
