I just bought a Fender lite ash strat (korean) and I am considering replacing the alnico pro 2 pickups with CS Fat 50s. I hear alot about the CS 69s but I never hear much info about the Fat 50s. The only reason I even know what they sound like is that a buddy of mine had them installed on his strat thinking they were stacked humbuckers. Any info on these pickups would be appreciated.

I would also appreciate any info about the performance of the vintage style tuners. I think they look awesome and I notice that they are the tuners of choice on alot of artist models.

Hi! I've posted this answer to another person so i'm gonna repeat myself again...  Fat 50's pups sound very classic kinda like a 54 but with a bit more bass response. they are made of staggered alnico 5 magnets wich gives you that sweet glassy tone. The middle pickup is reverse wound / reverse polarity to cancel hum. I've tried them on a mexican strat that I used to own and they are excellent! especially when you play blues! AS for the tuners, if you consider buying, be sure if possible to buy klusons ( I think they still make them today.) because they're the original ones that supplied fender back in the days. Excellent quality tuners (IMO).

Hope this input helps! :D

All I know about them is they're very low output and very good for surf.

I used that site before I decided on getting the fat 50s for my partscaster. Awesome sounding pickups in my opinion.
