Just bought a vintage Strat with case. But two of the latch buttons are broken.

Can they be fixed?

When I get the case, I'll know more of what is broken, but on a G&G case, the latches are the two outside locking latches that are broken.

That’s perfect! As soon as I get the case, I’ll know what metal type to get.

Generally, black Tolex cases (or white) get nickel-plated hardware. The brass goes with the tweed or brown Nubtex.

They are chrome. Just ordered a new set from G&G. Doesn't seem too hard to replace them.

But I've seen two methods....

Drill them out.

Pry them out.

Which would be best?

Prying them out risks damaging the case shell.
You'll need access to the inside to set the new rivets, drill the head off and pull the stud out from the inside.

From the inside, you can bed the rivets straight and pry them gently ( from the outside ) to remove them.
