the magnets in the VNP from Alnico 5 to Alnico 2? If so what year?

I've seen the VNP's specs as 5 and others listed as 2 so i'm a bit confused

Since the AlNiCo type isn't the only factor in a pickup's sound, I haven't paid much attention to this kind of things.
You might get the best answer from Fender Consumer Relations (via email), or the fantastic chat service on support pages.

Anyways, here's a thorough analysis of the Vintage Noiselesses, maybe sort of hinting that Fender just made a typo:
