Does anyone have a set of these in their strat? I was thinking about upgrading my strat from texas specials to these. I'm wondering if they sound any better/different.

Nick's pickups are pretty decent sounding. I've installed some in a client's guitar and was pleasantly surprised at how good they sounded.

No, I think they sounded more "biting" than "crunchy." This is where it gets opinionated and what you might consider crunch, I don't. :?:

Are they less "dark" sounding than the texas specials?
